Aulds Bakers & Coffee Shops.

Aulds Bakers, AyrAulds Bakers is the largest independent bakery chain in Scotland. TK Retail Design Consultancy designed and fitted a new concept coffee house / bakery store in the chain’s home town of Ayr. This contract was carried out in conjunction with CDA Design, who prepared the visual concepts which we developed into a workable scheme and value engineered the design to meet the client’s budget requirements.

Progressing from the successful opening of the Ayr bakery and coffee shop we were asked to design and fit out their new bakery / coffee shop in the Clyde Centre Glasgow. From intensive design briefings, TK Retail Design obtained planning change of use and building warrant approval from Glasgow city council to convert the vacant unit into a bakers shop and coffee house. These works were carried out under strict budget limitations and was completed to coincide with the school holidays.

The recent success of 2 coffee shop / bakeries in Ayr and Clydebank, Glasgow, has resulted in us being appointed to design further stores in Scotland, including one in the Forge Shopping Centre Glasgow.

Bocado Sandwich Shops.

The investors of this new concept takeaway food chain approached TK Retail Design to assist in the development of their store opening programme. We have now been appointed to provide a full design and project management service. Bocado has now also appointment a senior operations director from a major bakery chain and TK have held a series of detailed design meetings to refine the initial concept into a practical cost effective solution.

This will enable Bocado to roll out a fast track programme of sandwich shop openings in the North West including Manchester, Liverpool and Preston. The first site will be in The Square Shopping Centre, Sale, Manchester.

Listed Building Conversion - Primo Gourmet Hot Dogs

From a personal recommendation, TK Retail Design Consultants were approached by Primo Gourmet Hotdogs, to design and fit out a new concept outlet in the prestigious Grade 1 Listed Building, The Corn Exchange in Leeds. This will involve detailed liaison with English Heritage & conservation authorities to produce an innovative design, combining the contemporary images of a hot dog cabinet whilst conforming to the strict planning rules.
